It almost never snows here! its been like in the 20s and 30’s, and yesterday, to everyone’s amusement, it began to snow.

today, school was out, streets were icy, driving was dangerous. a city like Seattle is unprepared for snow, and drivers here are unfamiliar with it, causing severe traffic problems. additionally, the power went out in many places.

this is coming right after two weeks of non-stop rain, flooding, and the wettest November in Seattle weather history.

Unbelievable. I was freezing my butt off today. Lukas, however, didn’t seem to mind.

  1. Hi, Katherine
I love the snow — but would be nice to be warm, too. Everybody but me is leaving for Florida tonight!! 😦 Bummer, but I’m finding stuff to do.

    Cheers
